Mission Statement

Throughout our history, we have held one purpose – to help everyone we work with realize their dreams. In fulfilling this purpose, a constant theme in our work has been “opportunity.” We create opportunities for clients/customers to invest, purchase homes, attend college and to retire with security. We also create opportunities for our Associates to fulfill their personal and professional potential.

Company Culture

We are a company of 300,000 associates, serving a vibrant community of customers and clients around the world. Our size and scope is unmatched by any other bank and gives us the insight that help us innovate and create opportunities for all. The following five values represent what we believe in as individuals and as a team, and how we aspire to interact with our customers, our shareholders, our communities and one another.

•Doing the right thing:
We have the responsibility to do the right thing for our customers, shareholders, communities and one another.

•Trusting and teamwork: We succeed together, taking responsibility for our customers' satisfaction.

•Inclusive meritocracy: We care about one another, value one another's differences, focus on results and strive to help all associates reach their full potential.

•Winning: We have a passion for achieving results and winning - for our customers, our shareholders, our communities and one another.

•Leadership: We will be decisive leaders at every level, communicating our vision and taking action to help build a better future.

Diversity Strategy

We are proud of our multilayered strategy to ensure a vibrant, high performing diverse workforce:

•Diversity and Inclusion Business and Regional Councils, which operate in various business lines and global regions to address and promote diversity and inclusion.

•Global Diversity and Inclusion Council, a CEO appointed executive council which sets the direction and guides the implementation for diversity and inclusion in our organization.

•Affinity groups (formal, company-recognized groups of associates with common interests) that network and support one another's development and success.

•Bank of America Community Volunteers, geographically based volunteer teams of associates who encourage and capitalize on the diversity of our associates and promote personal and professional development.

•Diversity and Inclusion Client Management Team, which provides expertise, guidance, leadership and oversight to the diversity business and regional councils and actively liaises with the businesses and regions to embed diversity and inclusion in business-as-usual practices.
Our culture ensures senior executive management develops annual targets to increase diversity in their businesses and ties incentive pay to progress in hiring, promoting and retaining diverse individuals.
